What is the Booster Club?

The Booster Club is a volunteer organization consisting of the parents, teachers, and staff of Gonsalves Elementary School. As a group, we provide financial and volunteer support for additional enrichment activities that augment our children's elementary school experience.

 

We strive to support Gonsalves by providing enriching services, activities, and events.  The following is a list of what we do:

The Booster Club provides funding for all students to attend at least one field trip each year. Funding includes individual student admissions and bus costs. Every year students in TK-6th visit:

  • Cerritos Center for the Performing Aarts
  • Tanaka Farm
  • The Tessmann Planetarium
  • Adventure City
  • Mission San Juan Capistrano
  • Riley's Farm
  • Camelot

 

 

In an effort to help you plan out your donation efforts, we want to let you know ahead of time exactly what fundraising opportunities we have planned for the year. They are:

  • Membership Drive (September): A donation to the Booster Club based on tiered levels of membership
  • Grizzly Fun Run (October):  Students receive donations from friends, family, and businesses
  • Family Restaurant Nights (various times throughout the year): Local restaurants will donate a portion of sales to Gonsalves
  • Box Tops (throughout the year): Don’t forget to clip your Box Tops.
