Newsela.com: Here students can read Informative Texts at their Lexile Levels, take quizzes, review power words, and write paragraphs with details related to the central idea of the story. Please supervise and monitor what your child is reading. It is recommended to go to News and under this tab, click on KIDS section. Click on Lower Elementary Level on the left hand side and your child's Lexile level. Activities are on the right side of the Lexile level. Science, art, opinion, and other topics are recommended with parental supervision.

Smarter Balance: Here is the website for Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC). The SBAC is taken in the Spring and it is an assessment for Third Grade and up. These are the steps for sample questions of a practice test: Go the website and under the Assessments tab, click on Practice tests and Sample questions. Next, click on California. You should be at the Online Practice and Training Tests portal. Click on the Green icon (Student Interface Practice and Training tests). Login is not required. Click on Student Interface. Guest User is on. Sign on. Select Grade 3. Practice tests appear. Click on Language Arts and Mathematics.

Vooks is a streaming library of ad-free, kid-safe animated read-aloud storybooks, trusted by teachers and enjoyed by millions of children around the world every week. It is an entire library of storybooks, brought to life, to help encourage the love of reading. You can sign up for Vooks and use the take-home resources to help keep your children reading 20 minutes a day during these extraordinary times.
